The TUF Gaming A16 (2025) is ASUS’s 16-inch TUF-series gaming laptop. The FA608UP configuration has a Zen 4-based Ryzen 9 270, an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with up to 115 W, MUX and Advanced Optimus, upgradeable memory, two M.2 slots and a 90 Wh battery. Notebookcheck highlighted battery life and build; fan noise in Turbo mode was found loud.

The Legion Tower 5 Gen 10 is Lenovo’s 30-litre prebuilt gaming desktop; this configuration has the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, a desktop GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB, 32 GB of DDR5 and a 1 TB SSD. It offers a B650 board, three M.2 slots, 2.5 GbE and optional Wi-Fi 7. Testing and owner reviews highlight quiet operation and 1080p/1440p gaming performance; the 32 GB memory limit, heavy case and some proprietary parts are its weak points.

It comes with 32 GB of DDR5, a 2 TB Gen4 NVMe SSD, a 360 mm liquid cooler, a 750 W 80 Plus Gold power supply and Wi-Fi 6E; because the parts are standard, the graphics card, memory and storage can be upgraded. Best Buy owners praise quiet operation and gaming at high settings; a few say EXPO must be enabled in the BIOS for memory to reach its rated speed.

The Crosshair 16 HX AI D2XWGKG-211US is the US RTX 5070 Laptop GPU version of MSI’s mid-range gaming laptop: a Core Ultra 7 255HX, a 240 Hz QHD+ IPS-level display, 32 GB of DDR5 in two slots and two M.2 slots, one of them PCIe 5.0. The GPU can reach 115 W with Dynamic Boost. On Notebookcheck’s Core Ultra 9 sample, the display was bright and free of PWM; the single USB-C port, 8 GB of video memory and hot exhaust air were criticised.

The Katana 17 HX B14WGK is MSI’s 17-inch entry-to-mid gaming laptop. This configuration has an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with up to 115 W, a 16-core Core i7-14650HX, a MUX switch and 32 GB of DDR5. Notebookcheck found GPU performance stable; the plastic chassis, loud fans under load, 8 GB of VRAM and short battery life were noted as weaknesses.
