MediaTek Dimensity 9300+

MediaTek’s all-big-core, 4 nm flagship chipset for smartphones and tablets.

According to MediaTek, the Dimensity 9300+ is made on TSMC’s third-generation 4 nm process and uses no efficiency cores: it has one 3.4 GHz and three 2.85 GHz Cortex-X4 cores plus four 2.0 GHz Cortex-A720 cores. The GPU is a 12-core Arm Immortalis-G720 with hardware ray tracing.

It includes the NPU 790 for generative AI work. It supports LPDDR5X/LPDDR5T memory up to 9600 Mbps, UFS 4.0 storage, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. These are the chipset’s upper limits; whether a device actually offers Wi-Fi 7 depends on the wireless hardware the maker chooses.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ (Wi-Fi)

The Galaxy Tab S10+ is Samsung’s 12.4-inch Android tablet released in autumn 2024: a 2800 × 1752 120 Hz anti-reflective Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, 12 GB of memory, a 10,090 mAh battery and an IP68 S Pen in the box. The tablet itself is also IP68 and 5.6 mm thin. Notebookcheck liked the performance and speakers and found the display brightness and low-frequency PWM dimming weak. Best Buy owners praise the display, S Pen and battery life.
