Razer presents the Blade 14 as its most portable gaming laptop, with a chassis under 16 mm, a Calman Verified OLED screen and redesigned vapor-chamber cooling. Razer
Notebookcheck found the chassis of its 32 GB / 1 TB / RTX 5070 Laptop unit very sturdy and confirmed the thinner 16.2 mm profile and 1.62 kg weight. The OLED panel stayed around 360 nits with up to 440 nits in HDR; it uses 960 Hz PWM at 90% brightness and below, which Notebookcheck says most sensitive users should not notice. In Performance mode fan noise exceeded 50 dB(A) while gaming and the review called it very loud. The 8 GB of VRAM limited some games at QHD, so 1080p was recommended. It ran about 9 hours on Wi-Fi at 150 nits, about 11 hours in the video test and 71 minutes under full load; a full charge took 111 minutes. The bottom cover opens with T5 screws and the SSD and Wi-Fi card are replaceable; memory is soldered.
Notebookcheck: Razer Blade 14 2025 reviewThe black and Mercury listings on Best Buy Canada have seven reviews. Sentential says they chose it after trying eight laptops from other brands and likes the flex-free metal chassis, quiet fans and 0 dB fan support; on the downside, the bottom cover near the fan cut-outs flexes when pressed and a plastic piece under the hinge clicks. DAVIDL reports about 6 hours of battery in light work. Moonlight47 says the touchpad lost connection about every two hours on both the original and the replacement unit and returned it; KAYH reports constant restarts. The two complaints are different symptoms and individual reports.
