The model number can differ by sales region.

There is no memory card slot; formatted capacity is lower.

Measured as a rectangle the screen is 6.06 inches; the rounded corners make the viewable area smaller.

The display is 60 Hz; Apple does not list ProMotion for this model. Because of the rounded corners the rectangle measures 6.06 inches and the actual viewable area is slightly less. True Tone adjusts white balance to ambient light.

The 1,200-nit figure applies only to HDR content as a short peak.

Apple claims 3x better scratch resistance than the previous generation and improved anti-reflection.

The A19 in the iPhone 17 has a 5-core GPU; the 17e version has 4 GPU cores.

There is a single rear camera. The 2x option uses the centre of the 48 MP sensor rather than a separate telephoto lens; there is no ultrawide camera.

Dolby Vision recording is limited to 30 fps at 4K; 4K at 60 fps does not use Dolby Vision HDR. 8 MP stills can be taken while recording 4K.

Apple does not list the battery capacity in mAh; the times are from Apple's tests and vary with use.

No adapter is included; the box contains a 1 m USB-C cable.

15 W MagSafe needs a 20 W or higher adapter. The iPhone 16e supported only 7.5 W Qi.

Apple says the C1X is up to 2x faster than the C1 in the iPhone 16e.

There is no telephoto camera; 2x optical zoom out means switching to the ultrawide. Night mode and Deep Fusion merge several frames in low light to reduce noise. Smart HDR 3 and Portrait mode with six Portrait Lighting effects are supported.

No power adapter is included; the box contains only a USB-C to Lightning cable and documentation. MagSafe uses a magnet array on the back to align chargers and accessories.

It is not USB-C. Wired video out through the Lightning Digital AV Adapter is limited to 1080p; AirPlay to Apple TV mirrors up to 4K HDR.

Apple says a very small percentage of devices may have a failing component in the receiver module, so no sound is heard on calls. The programme covered units for 3 years after first retail sale and does not extend the warranty; other damage such as a cracked screen may need fixing first. The iPhone 12 mini and 12 Pro Max are not included.
