The Galaxy Watch6 40 mm is the small size of Samsung’s 2023 Wear OS watch. It has a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display under sapphire crystal, the dual-core Exynos W930 and a 300 mAh battery, plus the BioActive sensor for heart rate, ECG and body composition. Testing praised the performance and run tracking; the most common owner complaint is battery life that needs a charge every day.

Samsung presents the Galaxy Watch6 with a thinner bezel, a larger display, improved sleep coaching and fast charging. Samsung Newsroom
TechRadar found the Watch6 smooth thanks to the new processor and extra RAM, and rated automatic walk/run detection and detailed running metrics highly. Body composition readings were consistent with a smart scale, though the measurement was hard to start on the small 40 mm watch at first. Battery averaged about 25 hours; a 75-minute GPS run took it from 100% to 69%, and sleep tracking needed a charge every day. The high heart rate alert did not trigger during a test run, and data cannot easily be shared with Fitbit or Google Fit.
TechRadar: Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 reviewIn 40 mm owner reviews on Best Buy Canada the most common theme is battery: eleven separate owners said the watch lasted less than a day or at most a day and a half to two days, several could not get through the night for sleep tracking, and one compared it with a Fitbit that lasts a week. One owner said the watch kept searching for the phone when out of range and was dead by noon; another said charging took 3–4 hours. Positive reviews cover health and sleep tracking, fall detection, watch faces and the camera controller. One owner could not install the Samsung Health Monitor app without a mobile network.
