TechRadar rated the S22 a small, fast phone with a clean Android experience; the screen was among the brightest and most attractive they had seen and camera image quality was excellent. Varied and almost constant use gave about 12 hours of battery life. The screen stuttered while shooting 8K; 4K at 30 fps was fine. The 6.1-inch screen may feel cramped coming from bigger phones, and the 256 GB limit without microSD was frustrating. The test unit was the US Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version; the UK and other markets use the Exynos 2200.
