Strengths and limitations

  • TechRadar tested the European Exynos 2400 version in London and the Snapdragon version in the US. The Exynos unit scored 2002 single / 6732 multi-core in Geekbench 6, the Snapdragon unit 2272 / 7083; the reviewer felt no difference in daily use. Battery life of more than a day and a half stood out; the US Snapdragon unit lasted 16 hours in two rundown tests and reached 40% in 15 minutes and 72% in 30 minutes with a 45 W charger, while the Exynos unit charged a little slower and was full in just over an hour. The reviewer noted that after a full shutdown the phone needed a few minutes on the charger before it could be unlocked. Warmth in EA Sports FC 24 became noticeable only after about an hour; the speakers were praised. Downsides: camera hardware unchanged from the previous generation and a complex One UI.

TechRadar review (Axel Metz, January 2024); a European Exynos 2400 unit plus TechRadar’s US Snapdragon unit; this record is the Exynos-based SM-S926B.
