The Galaxy S23+ is the 6.6-inch middle model of Samsung’s 2023 flagship series. It shares the S23’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, triple camera and Gorilla Glass Victus 2; the differences are the larger display, a 4,700 mAh battery and 45 W wired charging. Base storage is 256 GB. Testing praised battery life and performance and criticised camera hardware that is almost unchanged from the previous generation.
Galaxy S23+ SM-S916B (2023, international version); 8 GB RAM with 256 or 512 GB. The Galaxy S23, S23 Ultra and S23 FE are separate models; US versions carry different model codes.

TechRadar used the S23 Plus for almost two days of normal use: the battery was at 60% at the end of day one and reached 1% the following evening. An hour of 1080p YouTube at full brightness used about 5%, and an hour of FIFA Mobile about 10%. With a non-Samsung 45 W charger it reached 62% in 30 minutes. The interface and games ran without stutter; the phone started to warm up after about 30 minutes of gaming. The speakers were clear but light on bass; the camera hardware being almost unchanged from the S22 Plus and the lack of a charger in the box were criticised.
