The TUF Gaming A16 FA607NUG is an entry-level 16-inch gaming laptop. It pairs the six-core Ryzen 7 7445HS with an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU that can draw up to 140 W, on a 1920 × 1200, 144 Hz display. Two SO-DIMM memory slots and two M.2 slots let you add RAM and storage later, although ASUS says the second SSD slot runs at restricted bandwidth with this processor. The 56 Wh battery is smaller than the 90 Wh pack in the family’s larger model.

ASUS presents the TUF Gaming A16 with a MUX switch, Advanced Optimus and a rugged chassis tested to military standards. ASUS Canada
The four owner reviews on Best Buy Canada are broadly positive. One owner sees the unsoldered two RAM and two SSD slots as a rare plus at this price but finds 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage low. A verified review syndicated from asus.com praises the screen and performance; the same reviewer wants clearer keyboard legends, a note on the box that the lid stops at a fixed angle, and more profile options such as turning off the GPU on battery. Another owner says the RAM could have been higher.
