In Notebookcheck’s test of the 5G version, the line’s first small OLED screen was found clearly brighter, with excellent black levels and contrast, and readable in sunlight. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy trades blows with the iPad Pro 11 in benchmarks and is clearly ahead of the Tab S8, especially in demanding games; it throttles under long loads but stays very fast. UFS 4.0 storage is quick. Battery runtimes are acceptable on their own, but several rivals last noticeably longer. It would not connect on the 6 GHz band with the test router, and the editor hopes for a software fix.
Notebookcheck: Review summary of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 11-inch OLED tabletVisible Best Buy reviews praise the screen, speed and light weight most; David likes the water resistance, AaronG the included S Pen, and John says the battery lasts two to three days. Criticisms: Jiro finds Wi-Fi unstable on a home router, James the bezels thick, Dvdunit the haptic motor weak, and MatthewW says the S Pen writes less smoothly than an Apple Pencil with dead spots. NathanN and an unnamed reviewer find the cameras weak; Yuval and JessicaP think the battery could be better.

Jonas DORMILUS says about 66% battery remained after use from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and DavidL gets about 48 hours with semi-intensive use. DavidL and Renji criticise the lack of a charger in the box given the price; Renji likes the bass-rich sound and light weight.
