The Beats Studio Pro are over-ear headphones with adaptive noise cancelling, Transparency mode, head-tracked spatial audio and lossless audio over USB-C. They offer quick pairing and device finding on both Apple and Android. In testing the wired lossless sound was praised; there is no multipoint or on-head detection.

Strengths and limitations

What Hi-Fi? found the sound clearly more confident and detailed over the lossless USB-C connection (24-bit/48 kHz). Noise cancelling and Transparency mode worked without fuss. The review counted as drawbacks the lack of on-head detection and Bluetooth multipoint, support for only SBC and AAC, and the need to switch the headphones on even for wired listening. The loud popping noise when folding was unsettling at first, but no structural issues appeared during testing.

Owner experiences and issues

Most Best Buy Canada reviews were collected as part of a promotion; among the non-incentivised ones, separate owners report unwanted noise in one ear: Vicky a whooshing in the left cup (also on a replacement), Jay popping on the left side within four months, Daisy constant crackling static in one speaker after 1.5 years, Atocks static in the left or right ear with ANC on (despite three replacements), and Chris buzzing and clicking in ANC/Transparency mode on two units. The symptoms are not identical; no common cause or failure rate is known.

A second group of complaints on the same listing concerns build and fit: Darren said a plastic part snapped twice on its own in under two years and the paint on top wore off within a year, and Omoshola said the plastic covering broke quickly. Sly and Nathan said the tight clamp causes head or ear pain in long sessions; Sly found battery life great. M said sound over the 3.5 mm cable is quieter and weaker than over Bluetooth.
